About our Program

The Milton Mets Rep Program is a competitive travel baseball program designed to offer our members the opportunity to play at the Elite, AAA, AA, A and Select levels. Teams play against neighbouring centres including Halton Hills, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, and Waterdown.

In addition to regular season play, teams will also compete in tournament play across Ontario. Depending on the team's interest and schedule, they may also participate in tournaments out of province or internationally.

Who can Join the Mets?

Players who reside within the Town of Milton are automatically eligible to attend tryouts. Additionally, any player who was on a BaseballMilton rep roster during the previous season is eligible to participate.

Players who live outside of Milton and did not play on a BaseballMilton rep team last season must obtain a formal release before attending tryouts, as per COBA regulations.

The Rep Season

The excitement kicks off each year just after Labour Day with rep team tryouts! Dates and times vary by age group and will be announced on our website and social media as the current season comes to a close and coach selection is finalized.

Once teams are selected, the action ramps up in January with indoor training. Training schedules are set by each team’s coaching staff, with many teams using local facilities and travelling to nearby centres for additional training opportunities.

The regular season hits full swing in May and runs through early August. Depending on the age group and division, teams typically play between 18 to 30 games. Most weeks include one home game, one away game, and one to two practices—subject to planned tournaments and diamond availability.

The season reaches its peak in mid-August with league playoffs, followed by provincial qualifiers (COBA Playdowns) and, for those who advance, provincial championships running through Labour Day weekend. It’s a full season of competition, development, and unforgettable baseball moments!

What Does the Fee Structure Look Like?

Rep players are charged through various means.

  • BaseballMilton Registration Fee - Each player will pay a registration fee directly to BaseballMilton following the completion of tryouts and acceptance of offer. This fee is broken up into two payments for 2026. The first fee covers the cost of uniforms, and is non-refundable.

  • Player Fees – These are the fees charged to each team member that are payable directly to the team and cover expenses such as tournaments, team building, indoor training, etc. These fees are established by the individual teams and are approved at the team level. These funds are usually collected in installments during the off-season. Team fees may be offset by fundraising and sponsorships.
  • Equipment: Players are responsible for providing their own equipment including helmets, bats and other protective equipment. Uniform expenses are collected by BaseballMilton as part of your registration fees and is non-refundable.
