11U House League Select - New for 2024 Season
Baseball Milton is introducing a new House League Select program for the 11U age group (players born in 2013 and 2014) next season. The program is designed to allow house league players to expand their skills, increase their baseball knowledge and give them an introduction to more competitive play.

All chosen players must be registered for and play in the 11U house league division. In addition, players will have a chance to experience the following:
Expanded training: The house league select team will begin winter training in February in the Saint Francis Xavier sports dome on Sunday mornings. During the summer, the team will hold an additional on-field practice once a week.
Tournaments: The team will participate in 3 Select tournaments during the summer, depending on availability. Additionally, Select provincial qualifiers are held in early August and OBA Provincials on Labor Day weekend.
Exhibition Games: There is a large pool of Select teams in the GTA and we hope to play some of them in a number of home and away games. Expect up to a dozen scheduled exhibition games, beginning in early May.
Cost: There is an additional fee to cover uniforms, training space, field time, equipment and tournament fees. In addition to the regular House League registration fee, the fee per player will range from $800-1200. A detailed budget will be provided to the families of selected players.
Time commitment: In addition to the once-weekly practice, all players are expected to practise and play with their regular house league team. Players unable to fulfil their obligations to both teams may need to vacate their position on the Select team.
Note: In the interest of fairness, Select players will be distributed evenly across all available house league teams. There will be no player roster requests for Select players.
Tryouts
Tryouts will be held in the Saint Francis Xavier Sports Dome on the following dates:
- January 14th - 9:30-11:30am
- January 21st - 9:30-11:30am
The tryouts will be facilitated by a number of House League Committee members as well as coaches from our Rep program. Players will be evaluated on their skills in hitting, fielding and pitching.
All players born in 2013 or 2014 are welcome to tryout but must register for the tryouts using Teamlinkt. Registration will be open until January 13th. There is a nominal fee of $10 to register.
Player selections will be made by a group of volunteers based on their evaluated performance.
All coach selections will be made from the pool of parent volunteers after the team has been chosen. The team will be managed by board member Christien J. (milton11USelect@gmail.com).
